We are a company, not a charity

  • MOTHERLAND is a private company, not a charity. Contributions are voluntary gifts towards development.
  • They are not charitable donations and are not tax-deductible.
  • They buy no shares, ownership, revenue share or influence over what we publish.
  • They are not a subscription and unlock no paid features — plans remain the only route to ad-free reading, publishing stories and the Knowledge Bank.
  • Once processed, contributions are not refundable. Monthly contributions can be cancelled at any time.

Experts contribute knowledge, not money

If you hold expertise in African history, languages, culture, science or community knowledge, we welcome your work. Approved experts get full Knowledge Bank access at no cost and are never asked to contribute financially.
